Everyone is welcome to use the RI State Library. The State Library was created in 1852 to collect, preserve, and provide access to information about the State and federal government. Open to the public, the State Library is a non-partisan, reliable resource for legislators, executive officers, State employees, constituents, historians, public policy researchers, and users from all over the world.
