Pawtucket, January 30, 1900.
To the Honorable Members of the General Assembly;
We, the undersigned, Conductors and Motormen, in
the employ of the Pawtucket Street Railway Company, hereby
petition your Honorable bodyto pass at the present session
of the Legislature, an act entitled "An Act to Limit the
labor of Street Railway Employees to Ten Hours per Day".
Under the present arrangement the employees work from
twelve to fourteen hours per day and at times longer and
receive no extra compensation therefor W e think that it
is but fair and just that the employees of the street rail-
way companies should receive the same consideration as
employees of other concerns and most earnestly desire the
passage of this bill.
